The media sector is in constant transformation due to digitization, audience fragmentation, and the evolution of monetization models, where publishing and audiovisual groups operate under strong competitive pressure and a growing need to adapt structures, processes, and business models.
At martinsdelima, we have worked for leading publishing groups, television operators, audiovisual producers, graphic services companies, and telecommunications companies whose activity is closely linked to audiovisual content. This diversity allows us to accurately understand the particularities inherent in this market.
Labor Expert Reports
A central part of our work is focused on labor restructurings in the written and digital press sector, which is so subject to constant technological transformations, regulatory changes, and increasingly fragmented consumption patterns. Our objective is to evaluate the concurrence of ETOP (economic, technical, organizational, and production-related) causes in the company or audiovisual group in question and to study the feasibility of different restructuring measures.
We analyze, among other things, the structure of income—circulation, sale of copies, advertising, digital business, and events—, its internal organization, its production processes, and its position in the market. We also evaluate the impact of external factors on the activity and the projections of results under multiple hypotheses.
Economic expert reports
We also assess damages and perjuicios in conflict situations. In the audiovisual field, we have participated in projects with television producers analyzing the economic impact of technological incidents, loss of information, interruptions in production, or deficiencies in contracted services. We have also evaluated complex contractual relationships between producers and technology providers, determining the obligations of the parties and quantifying the damages associated with failures in the provision of the service.
Competition Expert Reports
Our work covers projects related to pay television and premium content, analyzing the structure of audiovisual rights, the relevance of sports content in the competition between operators, and the economic impact that the loss of certain broadcasting rights such as La Liga and the Champions League would produce. These analyses have made it possible to assess customer sensitivity, the effects on the subscriber base, profitability per user, and the potential variation in margin under different commercial scenarios.
