Rafael Martins de Lima is the CEO of martinsdelima since 2010, specializing in expert services in the areas of Corporate Finance, M&A, Finance & Engineering, Capital Markets, Renewable Energy, Waste Management, and Risk Management.

Throughout his professional career, he has worked as a Consultant at McKinsey & Co., Business Planning Director at Amadeus, Deputy General Manager at Banco Santander, and Managing Director at Grupo Hera. He has also carried out numerous engineering and finance operations, with special emphasis on M&A and business development operations.

He is an Industrial Engineer from the Universidad Pontificia Comillas ICAI with a specialty in Industrial Management and Organization. In addition, he completed his training with an MBA from INSEAD and a Doctorate in Economics and Finance from UNED.

He has taught as a university and postgraduate professor at the Instituto de Empresa for 20 years in the areas of Structured Products and Derivatives, Fixed Income, Capital Markets, and Corporate and Project Finance.

He has spent a large part of his professional career as CEO of martinsdelima. From this position, he has been responsible for writing expert reports to defend in International Arbitration Courts (Paris, London). He has also been in charge of advising on M&A transactions, as well as helping to value different businesses in areas as broad as Renewable Energy, Intellectual Property, and Financial Institutions.
